All you need to know about Generation Innovation programmes

Work Experience Programme

  • Any young person aged 17-18.

    You can be in School, FE College, full-time employment or not in any training, education or employment – this is a catch all programme for ANY young person aged 17-18.

  • Yes! You just need to be able to get to and from the event location each day.

  • Teams are formed based on the answers you provide on your application form and then you are matched with an appropriate company partner. You may or may not end up in a team with someone you know – if you want to chat about this and being in a team with someone you know would make you more comfortable we can accommodate – just reach out to one of the GI team!

  • No! This programme is open to all applicants from any future career path (or even if you don’t know what you want to do next – GI can help you explore your options!)

Workshops

  • Minimum of 20 and maximum of 80.

    The space needs to facilitate your number of students working in groups of 6-8.

  • A typical workshop lasts 60 minutes, however, this can be tailored to your session timings.

  • Our workshops can be delivered to pupils from Year 12 to Year 14, or young people aged 16 to 18 years old.

  • Yes – we can deliver a number of workshops to different groups within your setting.

  • The workshops are free of charge.

    All that we ask is that you have the space set up with tables and chairs to facilitate groupwork and that we have access to a projector and screen with sound.

Impact Days

  • Yes – you can book both a workshop and an Impact Day for your School, FE College or Youth Group, free of charge.

  • No. We are currently offering one Impact Day per school, college or youth group.

  • The day will run from 9-3pm.

  • You can find our minimum requirements to book an Impact Day here.

  • We ask that we have access to one or two breakout rooms (depending on the number of students) for the remainder of the day after lunch to facilitate the delivery of the student presentations, as well as the company showcase section of the day.
